Atokos is a rocky island with an area of 4.5 square kilometers, part of the Echinades island group, and administratively belongs to Ithaca. It is also a member of the Natura 2000 network because, while it may be uninhabited by humans, it is home to rare marine flora. Moreover, from this year, the island's few wild goats have the company of a family of black pigs.
In recent years, Atokos has appeared on various real estate companies' lists of private islands for sale. In one of these, the price is listed at 40 million euros. After all, the distance separating it from Skorpios, Greece's most famous private island, is just about 13 nautical miles.
